Rt. Rev. Lewis Bagot was born on 1 January 1740.1 He was the son of Sir Walter Wagstaffe Bagot, 5th Bt. and Lady Barbara Legge.1 He married Mary Hay, daughter of Hon. Edward Hay and Mary Flower.1 He died in June 1802 at age 62, without issue.1
