     Ernst Leopold Eduard Wilhelm Josias Prinz von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha was born on 14 January 1935 at Hirschberg, Germany^G.² He was the son of Johann Leopold William Albert Ferdinand Victor Prinz von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha and Feodora Marie Alma Margarete Baronin von der Horst.¹ He married, firstly, Ingeborg Henig, daughter of Richard Henig and Luise Duckwitz, on 4 February 1961.² He and Ingeborg Henig were divorced on 26 March 1963.² He married, secondly, Gertraude Monika Pfeiffer, daughter of Hermann Horst Pfeiffer and Gertrud Marianne Jardin, on 29 May 1963 at Regensburg, Germany^G.² He and Gertraude Monika Pfeiffer were divorced in 1985.³ He married, thirdly, Sabine Margarete Biller, daughter of Alfred Carl Biller, on 20 January 1986.³ He died in June 1996 at age 61, by committing suicide.
