He was educated at Oratory School, South Kensington, London, England.2 He was educated at Pembroke College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the HQ Staff, 46 Division.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet O’Brien, of Merrion Square, Dublin and Borris-in-Ossory, Queen’s County [U.K., 1849] on 18 April 1952.2
