     Henry Soames was born on 23 August 1723 at Holborn, London, England.¹ He married Frances Burdett on 5 December 1754 at St. Andrew’s, Holborn, London, England.¹ He died on 4 January 1797 at age 73 at Islington, London, England.¹

     Sir James Sharp, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir William Sharp, 1st Bt. and Margaret Erskine.² He married Lady Mary Drummond, daughter of John Drummond, 1st Earl of Melfort and Sophia Maitland, between 1707 and 11 November 1718.¹ He died on 25 April 1738.²
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Sharp, of Scotscraig, co. Fife [N.S., 1683] on 27 January 1711/12.² On 22 October 1712 he was served heir to his father.² He gained the rank of officer in 1715 in the Master of Sinclair’s Fife Suqadron.² He was tried at Cupar for his part in the 1715 Uprising.² He sold Stoniehill in 1728.² He sold Scotscraig in 1735.²

     Elizabeth Bassett was the daughter of Unknown Bassett.¹ She married John Bampfylde, son of Colonel Hugh Bamfylde and Mary Clifford.¹ She died, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Bampfylde.¹
