     He was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1966 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Literature (B.Litt.)¹ He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Professor of Medieval English Literature.¹

     Merlin Oswald Turville-Petre was born on 2 July 1946.¹ He is the son of Edward Oswald Gabriel Turville-Petre and Joan Elizabeth Blomfield.¹ He married, firstly, Christine Margaret Lee-Smith, daughter of ivor Lee-Smith, in 1973.¹ He and Christine Margaret Lee-Smith were divorced.¹ He married, secondly, Geraldine Bragg in 1995.¹
     He was educated at The Oratory School, Reading, Berkshire, England.¹ He lived in 2003 at Hallcroft, Hazles Cross Road, Kingsley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.¹

     Brendon Arthur Auberon Turville-Petre was born on 16 September 1948.¹ He was the son of Edward Oswald Gabriel Turville-Petre and Joan Elizabeth Blomfield.¹ He died on 6 December 1981 at age 33.¹
     He was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Gwendoline Mary Etheldreda Turville-Petre was born on 16 October 1902.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Oswald Henry Philip Turville-Petre and Margaret Lucy Cave.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Roland Greenwood on 30 September 1938.¹ She died in 1994.¹
     Her married name became Greenwood.

     Lt.-Col. Roland Greenwood married Gwendoline Mary Etheldreda Turville-Petre, daughter of Lt.-Col. Oswald Henry Philip Turville-Petre and Margaret Lucy Cave, on 30 September 1938.¹ He died on 22 December 1949.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Highland Light Infantry.¹
