     Sir Sydney Richard Wells, 1st Bt. was born on 3 August 1879.¹ He was the son of Charles Wells and Josephine Grimbly.² He married Mary Dorothy Maltby, daughter of Christopher James Maltby, on 17 September 1907.¹ He died on 26 November 1956 at age 77.¹
     He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Bedford between 1922 and 1945.¹ He was Vice-Chairman of the Primrose League between 1928 and 1946.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1938.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Bedfordshire in 1940.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Wells, of Felmersham, co. Bedford [U.K.] on 21 January 1944.¹ He was Chairman of the Primrose League between 1946 and 1948.¹

     Christopher Shorrock Bates was born in 1864 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.¹ He married Jessy Fairfax Muckley, daughter of William Jabez Muckley and Mary Pardoe, in 1888 at Cockermouth, Cumberland, England.¹

     Mary Dorothy Maltby was the daughter of Christopher James Maltby.² She married Sir Sydney Richard Wells, 1st Bt., son of Charles Wells and Josephine Grimbly, on 17 September 1907.¹ She died on 13 May 1956.¹
     From 17 September 1907, her married name became Wells.

     Sir Charles Maltby Wells, 2nd Bt. was born on 24 July 1908.¹ He was the son of Sir Sydney Richard Wells, 1st Bt. and Mary Dorothy Maltby.² He married Katharine Boulton Kenrick, daughter of Frank Matthew Boteler Kenrick, on 2 October 1935.¹ He died in 1996.¹
     He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.¹ He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Engineers (Territorial Army.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Wells, of Felmersham, co. Bedford [U.K., 1944] on 26 November 1956.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1960.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Christopher Hayward Wells was born on 26 September 1909.¹ He was the son of Sir Sydney Richard Wells, 1st Bt. and Mary Dorothy Maltby.² He married Christina Hilary Holmes, daughter of Sir Hugh Oliver Holmes, on 18 September 1937.¹ He died on 8 June 1940 at age 30, killed in action.
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Jemima Jones is the daughter of Edward Jones.¹ She married Benjamin James Goldsmith, son of Sir James Michael Goldsmith and Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart, on 19 December 2014.¹
     From 19 December 2014, her married name became Goldsmith.¹

     John Hayward Wells was born on 16 November 1938.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Cdr. Christopher Hayward Wells and Christina Hilary Holmes.² He married Heather Donriel Kelly, daughter of John Gordon Christie Kelly, on 7 January 1965.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He lived in 2003 at The Old Rectory, Shelton, Huntingdonshire, England.¹

     John Gordon Christie Kelly lived at Riebeck West, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Heather Donriel Kelly is the daughter of John Gordon Christie Kelly.² She married John Hayward Wells, son of Lt.-Cdr. Christopher Hayward Wells and Christina Hilary Holmes, on 7 January 1965.¹
     From 7 January 1965, her married name became Wells.

     Christopher Hayward Wells was born on 6 February 1966.¹ He is the son of John Hayward Wells and Heather Donriel Kelly.²
