     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was Levant with the Consular Service between 1910 and 1923.¹ He graduated from Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1911 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was Vice-Consul at Mogador, Morocco^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, with the Special Mediterranean Intelligence Bureau.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the Queen’s Royal Regiment.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Ilchester [G.B., 1756] on 21 August 1964.² He succeeded as the 8th Lord Ilchester, co. Somerset, Baron of Woodford Strangways, co. Dorset [G.B., 1741] on 21 August 1964.² He succeeded as the 8th Lord Ilchester and Stavordale, Baron of Redlynch, co. Somerset [G.B., 1747] on 21 August 1964.²

     Laure Georgine Emilie Mazaraki was the daughter of Evanghelos Georgios Mazaraki.¹ She married Walter Angelo Fox-Strangways, 8th Earl of Ilchester, son of Maurice Walter Fox-Strangways and Louisa Blanche Phillips, on 8 April 1916.¹ She died on 29 October 1970.¹
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways. After her marriage, Laure Georgine Emilie Mazaraki was styled as Countess of Ilchester on 21 August 1964.

     Evanghelos Georgios Mazaraki was treasurer of the Suez Canal Company.^2,1

     G/Capt. Maurice Vivian de Touffreville Fox-Strangways, 9th Earl of Ilchester was born on 1 April 1920 at Port Tawfiq, Egypt^G.² He was the son of Walter Angelo Fox-Strangways, 8th Earl of Ilchester and Laure Georgine Emilie Mazaraki.¹ He married Diana Mary Elizabeth Simpson, daughter of George Frederick Simpson, on 29 November 1941.³ He died on 2 July 2006 at age 86 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England^G.²
     He was educated at Kingsbridge Grammar School, Kingsbridge, Devon, England^G.² He was commissioned in 1936, in the service of the Royal Air Force.³ He was registered as a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.)³ He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Ilchester [G.B., 1756] on 4 October 1970.³ He succeeded as the 9th Lord Ilchester and Stavordale, Baron of Redlynch, co. Somerset [G.B., 1747] on 4 October 1970.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Lord Ilchester, co. Somerset, Baron of Woodford Strangways, co.      Diana Mary Elizabeth Simpson was the daughter of George Frederick Simpson.¹ She married G/Capt. Maurice Vivian de Touffreville Fox-Strangways, 9th Earl of Ilchester, son of Walter Angelo Fox-Strangways, 8th Earl of Ilchester and Laure Georgine Emilie Mazaraki, on 29 November 1941.¹ She died on 1 March 2011.²
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways. After her marriage, Diana Mary Elizabeth Simpson was styled as Countess of Ilchester on 4 October 1970.

     George Frederick Simpson lived at Cassington, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Raymond George Fox-Strangways was born on 11 November 1921.¹ He was the son of Walter Angelo Fox-Strangways, 8th Earl of Ilchester and Laure Georgine Emilie Mazaraki.¹ He married Margaret Vera Force, daughter of James Force, on 25 November 1941.¹ He died on 27 April 2005 at age 83.²
     He was educated at Exeter School, Exeter, Devon, England^G.¹ He was educated at Seale Hayne Agricultural College, Newton Abbot, Devon, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the Royal Air Force.¹ He was with the civil service between 1949 and 1976.¹ He lived in 2003 at 4 Trull Green Drive, Trull, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Margaret Vera Force was born circa 1921.² She was the daughter of James Force.¹ She married Hon. Raymond George Fox-Strangways, son of Walter Angelo Fox-Strangways, 8th Earl of Ilchester and Laure Georgine Emilie Mazaraki, on 25 November 1941.¹ She died on 7 April 2020.²
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways.

     Robin Maurice Fox-Strangways, 10th Earl of Ilchester was born on 2 September 1942.¹ He is the son of Hon. Raymond George Fox-Strangways and Margaret Vera Force.¹ He married Margaret Elizabeth Miles, daughter of Geoffrey Miles, on 19 July 1969.¹
     He was educated at Loughborough College, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England^G.¹ He was with Lloyds Bank.¹ He lived in 2003 at Little Haven, Frankton, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Lord Ilchester, co.
