Ernest Arthur Copleston was born in 1855 at Barnes, Surrey, England^G.² He was the son of Reverend Reginald Edward Copleston and Anne Elizabeth Sharpe.² He married Eveline Charlotte Fox-Strangways, daughter of Reverend Henry Fox-Strangways and Charlotte Chester Copleston, on 2 January 1890.¹ He died on 24 August 1933.¹
     He held the office of Bishop of Colombo.¹

     Margaret Christina Fox-Strangways was baptised on 25 June 1865.² She was the daughter of Reverend Henry Fox-Strangways and Charlotte Chester Copleston.¹ She died on 16 May 1951 at age 85, unmarried.¹

     Henrietta Frances Fox-Strangways was the daughter of Reverend Henry Fox-Strangways and Charlotte Chester Copleston.¹ She died on 20 January 1930, unmarried.¹

     Colonel Walter Aston Fox-Strangways was born on 14 December 1832.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry Fox-Strangways and Hester Eleanora Buller.¹ He married Harriet Elizabeth Buller, daughter of John Edward Buller, on 19 August 1858.¹ He died on 26 February 1885 at age 52.¹
     He lived Colonel.¹ He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.¹

     Harriet Elizabeth Buller was the daughter of John Edward Buller.¹ She married Colonel Walter Aston Fox-Strangways, son of Reverend Henry Fox-Strangways and Hester Eleanora Buller, on 19 August 1858.¹ She died on 13 April 1903.¹
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways.

     John Edward Buller was born on 29 July 1802.² He was the son of Reverend John Buller.² He died on 2 April 1881 at age 78.²
     He lived at Chase Lodge, Enfield, London, England^G.¹

     Arthur Henry Fox-Strangways was born on 14 September 1859.¹ He was the son of Colonel Walter Aston Fox-Strangways and Harriet Elizabeth Buller.¹ He died on 2 May 1948 at age 88, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1886 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was an assistant master at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was founding editor of Music and Letters between 1920 and 1937.¹ He was music critic for The Observer between 1925 and 1939.¹

     Maurice Walter Fox-Strangways was born on 23 March 1862.¹ He was the son of Colonel Walter Aston Fox-Strangways and Harriet Elizabeth Buller.¹ He married Louisa Blanche Phillips, daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Robert Phillips, on 29 December 1886.¹ He died on 27 May 1938 at age 76.¹
     He was with the Indian Civil Service.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.)¹ He was Finance Commissioner of the Central Provinces and Behar between 1908 and 1913.¹

     Louisa Blanche Phillips was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. George Robert Phillips.¹ She married Maurice Walter Fox-Strangways, son of Colonel Walter Aston Fox-Strangways and Harriet Elizabeth Buller, on 29 December 1886.¹ She died on 9 April 1940.¹
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways.

     Maj.-Gen. George Robert Phillips is the son of Henry Philips and Elizabeth Cauty.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in the Indian Army.² He gained the rank of Major-General in the Indian Army.¹
