     Henry Edward Fox-Strangways, 5th Earl of Ilchester was born on 13 September 1847.¹ He was the son of Hon. John George Charles Fox-Strangways and Amelia Barbara Marjoribanks.¹ He married Lady Mary Eleanor Anne Dawson, daughter of Richard Dawson, 1st Earl of Dartrey and Augusta Stanley, on 8 February 1872.² He died on 6 December 1905 at age 58.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Ilchester [G.B., 1756] on 10 January 1865.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Lord Ilchester, co. Somerset, Baron of Woodford Strangways, co. Dorset [G.B., 1741] on 10 January 1865.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Lord Ilchester and Stavordale, Baron of Redlynch, co. Somerset [G.B., 1747] on 10 January 1865.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Dorset Yeomanry Cavalry.¹ He held the office of Captain of the Gentleman at Arms between January 1874 and February 1874.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset between 1895 and 1905.¹

     Lady Mary Eleanor Anne Dawson was born in 1852. She was the daughter of Richard Dawson, 1st Earl of Dartrey and Augusta Stanley.¹ She married Henry Edward Fox-Strangways, 5th Earl of Ilchester, son of Hon. John George Charles Fox-Strangways and Amelia Barbara Marjoribanks, on 8 February 1872.¹ She died on 25 October 1935.²
     From 8 February 1872, her married name became Fox-Strangways. After her marriage, Lady Mary Eleanor Anne Dawson was styled as Countess of Ilchester on 8 February 1872.

     Hon. John George Charles Fox-Strangways was born posthumously on 6 February 1803.² He was the son of Henry Thomas Fox-Strangways, 2nd Earl of Ilchester and Maria Digby.² He married Amelia Barbara Marjoribanks, daughter of Edward Marjoribanks and Georgiana de Lautour, on 19 February 1844.² He died on 8 September 1859 at age 56.²
     He was with the Foreign Office.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Calnes.² He was Gentleman Usher to Queen Adelaide.² He lived at Brickworth House, Wiltshire, England^G.²

     Amelia Barbara Marjoribanks was born on 16 September 1815.² She was the daughter of Edward Marjoribanks and Georgiana de Lautour.^1,2 She was baptised on 20 October 1815 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England.² She married Hon. John George Charles Fox-Strangways, son of Henry Thomas Fox-Strangways, 2nd Earl of Ilchester and Maria Digby, on 19 February 1844.³ She died on 9 September 1886 at age 70.³
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways.

     Anne Caroline Marjoribanks was baptised on 19 December 1811 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Marjoribanks and Georgiana de Lautour.¹

     Henry Thomas Fox-Strangways, 2nd Earl of Ilchester was born on 9 August 1747.¹ He was the son of Stephen Fox-Strangways, 1st Earl of Ilchester and Elizabeth Horner.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Theresa O’Grady, daughter of Standish O’Grady and Mary Hungerford, on 20 August 1772.¹ He married, secondly, Maria Digby, daughter of Very Rev. Hon. William Digby and Charlotte Cox, on 28 August 1794.¹ He died on 5 September 1802 at age 55.¹
     He was given the name of Henry Thonas Fox at birth.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Midhurst between 1768 and 1774.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1771 in the 24th Foot.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Ilchester, co. Somerset, Baron of Woodford Strangways, co. Dorset [G.B., 1741] on 29 September 1776.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Ilchester [G.B., 1756] on 29 September 1776.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Ilchester and Stavordale, Baron of Redlynch, co. Somerset [G.B., 1747] on 29 September 1776.¹

     Maria Digby was the daughter of Very Rev. Hon. William Digby and Charlotte Cox.¹ She married Henry Thomas Fox-Strangways, 2nd Earl of Ilchester, son of Stephen Fox-Strangways, 1st Earl of Ilchester and Elizabeth Horner, on 28 August 1794.¹ She died on 23 September 1842.¹
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways.

     Charles Wriothesly Digby was born on 31 January 1859.¹ He was the son of Charles Wriothesly Digby and Adelaide Bankes.¹ He married, firstly, Dora Adelaide Fetherstonhaugh-Frampton, daughter of Rupert Pennefather Fetherstonhaugh-Frampton and Louisa Mary Frampton, on 15 February 1881.¹ He married, secondly, Evelyn Frances Adams Beck, daughter of Ralph Coker Adams Beck and Florence Amelia Beck, on 26 October 1904 at Epsom, Surrey, England.^1,2 He died on 9 February 1908 at age 49.¹
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.¹ He lived at Meridan Hall, Coventry, Warwickshire, England^G.¹

     Mary Theresa O’Grady was born in 1755.² She was the daughter of Standish O’Grady and Mary Hungerford.^1,3 She married Henry Thomas Fox-Strangways, 2nd Earl of Ilchester, son of Stephen Fox-Strangways, 1st Earl of Ilchester and Elizabeth Horner, on 20 August 1772.⁴ She died on 14 June 1790.⁴
     Her married name became Fox-Strangways. After her marriage, Mary Theresa O’Grady was styled as Countess of Ilchester on 29 September 1776.

     Anne Crooke Warren is the daughter of Wallis Warren and Elizabeth Knolles.¹ She married Richard Gumbleton.¹
