Sir Simon Harcourt1 
Sir Simon Harcourt was born circa 1603.3 He was the son of Sir Robert Harcourt and Frances de Vere.4 He married Anne Paget, daughter of William Paget, 4th Lord Paget (of Beaudesert).1 He died on 27 March 1642 at Kilgobbin Castle, Sandford, County Dublin, IrelandG, killed by adherents of the Irish Uprising that had broken out the year before.3
He was appointed Knight on 26 June 1627.1 From 1639 to 1640 he commanded a regiment against the Scots.1 He was sergeant-major for the Prince of Orange.3 He lived at Stanton Harcourt, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Governor of the City of Dublin from 1641 to 1642.1
