     From 1991, her married name became Payne.

He married Louisa Katharine Smyly, daughter of Josiah Smyly and Ellen Franks, on 7 September 1876 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1,2 He died on 1 August 1895 at age 45 at Fujian, China, murdered during the Kucheng massacre.1,2
     He was a missionary.1
