(Liberal) for Doncaster between 1910 and 1918.1 He was created 1st Baronet Nicholson, of Harrington Gardens, Royal Borough of Kensington [U.K.] on 7 February 1912.1

He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards.1
