     Daphne Louie Stirling was born on 4 July 1917.1 She was the daughter of Brigadier Walter Andrew Stirling and Louie Rosa Margueritha Faber.2 She married Major Brian Charles Johnson-Ferguson, son of Colonel Sir Edward Alexander James Johnson-Ferguson, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Elsie Dorothea McLaren, on 26 April 1947.1 She died on 23 July 2000 at age 83.2
     She was Junior Commander with the Auxiliary Territorial Service during the Second World War.1 From 26 April 1947, her married name became Johnson-Ferguson. She was awarded the Territorial Efficiency Medal (T.E.M.) in 1951.1
