     Hugh Glencairn Balfour Paul was born on 23 September 1917 at Moniaive, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.^2,3 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John William Balfour Paul and Muriel Cassels Monteith.^1,3 He married Margaret Clare Ogilvy, daughter of Gilbert Francis Molyneux Ogilvy and Marjory Katharine Clive, on 29 June 1950.¹ He married Jenny Scott in 1974.³ He died on 2 July 2008 at age 90 at Shobrooke, Crediton, Devon, England.³
