     He lived at Mount Pottinger, County Down, Ireland.¹

     Fanny Pottinger was the daughter of Thomas Pottinger.² She married Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger, on 12 April 1854.¹ She died on 13 January 1906.¹
     From 12 April 1854, her married name became Smith-Gordon.

     Sir Lionel Eldred Pottinger Smith-Gordon, 3rd Bt. was born on 22 March 1857.¹ He was the son of Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Pottinger.² He married Sophia Annie Scott, daughter of Robert James Scott, in 1883.¹ He died on 10 January 1933 at age 75.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Smith [U.K., 1838] on 1 December 1905.¹

     Sophia Annie Scott was the daughter of Robert James Scott.¹ She married Sir Lionel Eldred Pottinger Smith-Gordon, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Pottinger, in 1883.¹ She died on 27 February 1943.¹

     Sir Lionel Eldred Pottinger Smith-Gordon, 4th Bt. was born on 25 November 1889.¹ He was the son of Sir Lionel Eldred Pottinger Smith-Gordon, 3rd Bt. and Sophia Annie Scott.² He married, firstly, Ellen Fletcher, daughter of Duncan Upshaw Fletcher, on 1 December 1913.¹ He and Ellen Fletcher were divorced in 1933.¹ He married, secondly, Eileen Laura Adams-Connor, daughter of Harry George Adams-Connor, on 4 July 1933.¹ He died in 1976.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Smith [U.K., 1838] on 10 January 1933.¹ He gained the rank of officer between 1940 and 1943 in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was chairman of Jencons (Scientific) Ltd.¹

     Ellen Fletcher is the daughter of Duncan Upshaw Fletcher.¹ She married Sir Lionel Eldred Pottinger Smith-Gordon, 4th Bt., son of Sir Lionel Eldred Pottinger Smith-Gordon, 3rd Bt. and Sophia Annie Scott, on 1 December 1913.¹ She and Sir Lionel Eldred Pottinger Smith-Gordon, 4th Bt. were divorced in 1933.¹
     From 1 December 1913, her married name became Smith-Gordon.¹

     Eliza Isabella Smith-Gordon was the daughter of Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Pottinger.² She married William Moss on 10 August 1876.¹ She died on 10 September 1898.¹
     From 10 August 1876, her married name became Moss.

     William Moss married Eliza Isabella Smith-Gordon, daughter of Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Pottinger, on 10 August 1876.¹
     He lived at Oak Braes, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹

     Charlotte Maria Smith-Gordon was the daughter of Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Pottinger.² She married George Barnes on 12 July 1895.¹ She died in 1922.¹
     From 12 July 1895, her married name became Barnes.

     George Barnes married Charlotte Maria Smith-Gordon, daughter of Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt. and Fanny Pottinger, on 12 July 1895.¹ He died in 1916.¹
     He lived at Down Hall, Wembdon, Somerset, England.¹
