     Sir Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 April 1833.² He is the son of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger.² He married Fanny Pottinger, daughter of Thomas Pottinger, on 12 April 1854.² He died on 1 December 1905 at age 72.²
     He was also known as Lionel Eldred Smith.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Smith [U.K., 1838] on 2 January 1842.¹ He fought in the Crimean War.² He gained the rank of Captain in the 71st Light Infantry.² He fought in the Indian Mutiny.² On 5 February 1868 his name was legally changed to Lionel Eldred Smith-Gordon by Royal Licence.²

     Isabella Smith was the daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger.² She died, young.¹

     Augusta Smith was the daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger.² She married Lt.-Col. Walter Warde, son of General Sir Henry Warde, on 5 May 1841.¹ She died on 17 December 1893.¹
     From 5 May 1841, her married name became Warde.

     General Sir Henry Warde was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹

     Lt.-Col. Walter Warde was the son of General Sir Henry Warde.² He married Augusta Smith, daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger, on 5 May 1841.¹ He died on 4 May 1861.¹

     Isabella Smith was the daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger.² She married Sir George Floyd Duckett, 3rd Bt. on 21 June 1845.¹ She died on 31 December 1901.¹
     From 21 June 1845, her married name became Duckett.

     Sir George Floyd Duckett, 3rd Bt. married Isabella Smith, daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger, on 21 June 1845.¹ He died on 13 May 1902, without issue.¹
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Duckett.¹

     Agnes Letitia Smith was the daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger.² She died in 1936.¹

     Charlotte Anne Smith was the daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger.² She married Edward Maxwell Brownlow on 8 November 1859.¹ She died on 10 February 1863, without issue.¹
     From 8 November 1859, her married name became Brownlow.

     Edward Maxwell Brownlow married Charlotte Anne Smith, daughter of Sir Lionel Smith, 1st Bt. and Isabella Curwen Pottinger, on 8 November 1859.¹
