     Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill was the son of James Lockhart of Castle Hill and Mary Amelia Nisbet.² He married, firstly, Eliza Newman, daughter of Richard Newman Newman, in 1804.¹ He married, secondly, Charlotte Simpson Mercer, daughter of Captain William Mercer, on 30 June 1817.¹ He died on 2 November 1850.¹
     He had three sons and an elder daughter (who died unmarried) by his first wife, and four other daughters by his second wife.¹ He lived at Castle Hill, Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     Richard Newman Newman lived at Thornbury Park, Gloucestershire, England.¹

     Eliza Newman was the daughter of Richard Newman Newman.² She married Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill, son of James Lockhart of Castle Hill and Mary Amelia Nisbet, in 1804.¹ She died in April 1816.¹
     From 1804, her married name became Lockhart.

     Eliza Anne Lockhart was born in 1807 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill and Eliza Newman.³ She married John Piercy Henderson, son of Colonel John Henderson and Eliza (?), in 1825.¹
     From 1825, her married name became Henderson.

     John Piercy Henderson was born in 1804 at London, England.² He was the son of Colonel John Henderson and Eliza (?)² He married Eliza Anne Lockhart, daughter of Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill and Eliza Newman, in 1825.¹ He died on 17 December 1861.²
     He was educated at High School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Stirlingshire.² He lived at Foswell Bank, Perthshire, Scotland.¹

     Susan Lockhart was born circa 1811 at Scotland.² She was the daughter of Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill and Eliza Newman.³ She married William Dalglish.¹ She died on 18 December 1863 at Sunnyside, Princes Road, Liverpool, Lancashire, England.²
     Her married name became Dalglish.

     William Dalglish was born circa 1811 at Scotland.² He married Susan Lockhart, daughter of Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill and Eliza Newman.¹ He died in 1870 at Isle of Wight, England.²

     Anne Nisbet Lockhart is the daughter of Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill and Eliza Newman.² She married Thomas McCall.¹
     Her married name became McCall.

     Thomas McCall married Anne Nisbet Lockhart, daughter of Robert Lockhart of Castle Hill and Eliza Newman.¹

     Captain William Mercer lived at Potterhill.¹
