He was Lady Margaret Professor of Theology before 1991 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Bishop of Monmouth in 1991.3 He held the office of Archbishop of Wales before 2002.1 He held the office of Archbishop of Canterbury between 2002 and 2012.1 He was created Baron Williams of Oystermouth, of Oystermouth in the City and County of Swansea [U.K. Life Peer] on 26 December 2012.1
