Arthur Edward Broadbent Parsons1 
He was commissioned in 1904 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the Oxfordshire Volunteer Light Infantry.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1909.2 He gained the rank of Captain in 1915.2 He gained the rank of Major in 1923.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1923.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1927.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1938.2 He held the office of Governor of the North-West Frontier Province in 1939.2
