He married Lady Edith Gertrude Douglas, daughter of John Sholto Douglas, 9th Marquess of Queensberry and Sibyl Montgomery, on 25 March 1899.1 He died on 6 April 1932 at age 75.1
     He was given the name of St. George William Lane Lane Fox at birth.2 On 25 May 1880 his name was legally changed to St. George William Lane Fox-Pitt by Royal Licence.2
