Andrew Ross, 7th of Shandwick1

     Andrew Ross, 7th of Shandwick was the son of Andrew Ross of Shandwick and Isobel Ross.2 He married Christian Ross, daughter of William Ross of Gladfield.1 He died in October 1733.1
     He lost Shandwick by his stepmother’s marriage contract.1 He also had younger sons and daughters.1

William Ross1

     William Ross was the son of Andrew Ross, 7th of Shandwick and Christian Ross.2 He died in April 1739, drowned enroute to Orkney.1
     He was a practising Writer at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He purchased Kerse etc, Ayrshire in 1728.1

Hugh Ross1

     Hugh Ross was born in 1695 at Tain, Inverness-shire, Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Andrew Ross, 7th of Shandwick and Christian Ross.3 He married Elizabeth Ross, daughter of Alexander Ross of Little Daan, on 24 August 1749.1 He died on 13 April 1775 at St. Mary Axe, London, England.1,2
     He held the office of Baillie of Tain.1 He was a merchant of Sweden and London.1 On 13 June 1721 he killed Hugh Ross of Achnaclioch in duel at Tain.1 He inherited his brother’s Kerse estate.1 He had two younger sons.1

Hugh Ross, 3rd of Kerse1

     Hugh Ross, 3rd of Kerse was born in 1752 at Scotland.2 He was the son of Hugh Ross and Elizabeth Ross.3 He married Janet Campbell.1 He died on 20 January 1818 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Honourable East India Company Service.2 He had three daughters and another son (all died without issue.)1

Janet Campbell1
