     He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 21 December 1999.2 He held the position of Chief of the Clan Ross from on 21 December 1999.2 He lived in 2003 at Shandwick House, Perth Road, Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.2
