     Anna Maria Twemlow was the daughter of General George Twemlow and Anna Maria Hannah D’Oyly.2,3 She married Major James Rose, 23rd of Kilravock, son of Hugh Rose, 20th of Kilravock and Catherine Mackintosh, on 15 January 1850.1 She died on 13 May 1867.1
     From 15 January 1850, her married name became Rose.

     Hugh Rose, 24th of Kilravock was born on 10 August 1863.2 He is the son of Major James Rose, 23rd of Kilravock and Anna Maria Twemlow.2 He married Ruth Antoinette Guillemard, daughter of Walter George Guillemard, on 21 October 1920.2 He died on 22 February 1946 at age 82.2
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Nile Expedition between 1884 and 1885.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Nairn in 1890.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1899.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.2 He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 1st Battalion, Black Watch.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1916.2 He was awarded the Officer French Ordre du Merite Agricole in 1917.2
