     John Rose, 6th of Kilravock was the son of Hugh Rose, 5th of Kilravock.2 He married Isabel Cheyne, daughter of John Cheyne, 4th of Esselmont.1 He died circa 1454.1
     On 2 April 1431 he was served heir to his father.1 On 30 May 1433 he had a royal charter of Kilravock, on terms normally confined to baronies held directly of the Crown, though here it was to be held of the Earls of Ross.1
