     Caroline Greville was the daughter of Captain William Fulke Greville and Meliora Southwell.^1,2 She married Field Marshal Stapleton Stapleton-Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere of Bhurtpore, son of Sir Robert Salusbury Cotton, 5th Bt. and Frances Stapleton, on 18 June 1814 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England^G.³ She died on 25 January 1837.¹
     After her marriage, Caroline Greville was styled as Baroness Combermere on 18 June 1814. From 18 June 1814, her married name became Cotton. After her marriage, Caroline Greville was styled as Viscountess Combermere of Bhurtpore on 8 February 1827. From 21 November 1827, her married name became Stapleton-Cotton.

     Captain William Fulke Greville was born on 8 November 1751.² He was the son of Fulke Greville and Frances Macartney.² He married Meliora Southwell, daughter of Rev. Hon. Richard Southwell and Jane Kenat.² He died in 1837.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)² He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.²

     Mary Woolley Gibbings was born circa 1799 at County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Gibbings and Barbara Woolley.^1,2 She married Field Marshal Stapleton Stapleton-Cotton, 1st Viscount Combermere of Bhurtpore, son of Sir Robert Salusbury Cotton, 5th Bt. and Frances Stapleton, on 2 October 1838 at Bedford, Bedfordshire, England^G.³ She died on 31 August 1889.¹
     Her married name became Cotton.

     Robert Gibbings was born on 23 December 1756.² He was the son of Bartholomew Gibbings and Elizabeth Wight.² He married Barbara Woolley.² He died on 26 January 1844 at age 87.²
     He lived at Gibbings Grove, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Christina Augusta Des Voeux was the daughter of Sir Charles Des Voeux, 2nd Bt. and Christina Hird.^2,3 She married Maj.-Gen. Corbet Cotton, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Willoughby Cotton and Lady Augusta Maria Coventry, on 11 May 1847.¹ She died on 23 January 1892.¹
     Her married name became Cotton.

     Frances Stapleton was born circa 1746 at Bodrhyddan Hall, Rhuddlan, Flintshire, Wales^G.² She was the daughter of Colonel James Russell Stapleton and Penelope Conway.^1,2 She married Sir Robert Salusbury Cotton, 5th Bt., son of Sir Lynch Salusbury Cotton, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Cotton, in 1767 at Cheshire, England^G.² She died on 20 April 1825.¹
     Her married name became Cotton.

     Colonel James Russell Stapleton was born at Bodrhyddan Hall, Rhuddlan, Flintshire, Wales^G.² He was the son of Sir William Stapleton, 3rd Bt. and Frances Russell.³ He married Penelope Conway, daughter of Sir John Conway, 2nd Bt. and Penelope Grenville.⁴ He died in 1816.⁴

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Willoughby Cotton was born in 1783.² He was the son of Admiral Rowland Cotton and Elizabeth Aston.² He married Lady Augusta Maria Coventry, daughter of George William Coventry, 7th Earl of Coventry and Peggy Pitches, on 16 May 1806.¹ He died on 4 May 1860.²
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 32nd Foot.² He gained the rank of General.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (K.C.H.)² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹

     Lady Augusta Maria Coventry was born circa 1786. She was the daughter of George William Coventry, 7th Earl of Coventry and Peggy Pitches.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. Sir Willoughby Cotton, son of Admiral Rowland Cotton and Elizabeth Aston, on 16 May 1806.¹ She died on 1 November 1865.¹
     Her married name became Cotton.

     George William Coventry, 7th Earl of Coventry was born on 25 April 1758.¹ He was the son of George William Coventry, 6th Earl of Coventry and Maria Gunning.¹ He married, firstly, Lady Catherine Henley, daughter of Robert Henley, 1st Earl of Northington and Jane Huband, on 18 March 1777.¹ He married, secondly, Peggy Pitches, daughter of Sir Abraham Pitches and Jane Hassel, on 10 January 1783 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.² He died on 26 March 1831 at age 72 at Coventry House, Piccadilly, London, England^G.²
     He gained the rank of Ensign in 1776 in the 64th Foot.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 5 January 1776.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1777 in the 17th Light Dragoons.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire between 1808 and 1831.¹ He held the office of Custos Rotulorum of Worcestershire between 1808 and 1831.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Deerhurst, of the hundred of Deerhurst, co. Gloucester [E., 1697] on 3 September 1809.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Coventry [E., 1697] on 3 September 1809.¹ He held the office of Recorder of Worcester.¹ He held the office of High Steward of Tewkesbury.¹
