Donald Robertson of Woodsheal1 
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Jacobite Army.1 He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746, as Leader of Clan Donnachaidh, where he was left for dead, but later escaped to France.1 He was Commander of the Clan of the throughout the Rising of 1745–46 in the absence from old age of the Chief in 1745/46.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the French Army.1 In 1772 returned to Woodsheal.1
