     McIan.1 He was he was rescued by the outlaw Rob Royal from the vengeance of a party of Cameron Caernachs, who had driven some horses off the lands of Drumachuine while his father and brothers were absent in the Uprising, and whose leader he had killed in single combat in 1715.1
