Sir John Riddell of that Ilk, 3rd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Riddell, of Riddell, co. Roxburgh [N.S., 1628] circa 1669.2 In 1687 he got a remission for treason from King James II.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Roxburghshire [Scotland] between 1690 and 1700.3
