     He graduated from University of Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was educated at Shawnigan Lake School, Shawnigan Lake, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹ He was a practising barrister and solicitor in 1974.¹ He was a partner of Russell and DuMoulin.¹ He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Piers, of Tristernagh Abbey, co. Westmeath [E., 1660/1] on 1 January 1996.² He lived at 2100-1075 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.¹

     Sandra Mae Dixon married Sir James Desmond Piers, 11th Bt., son of Sir Charles Robert FitzMaurice Piers, 10th Bt. and Ann Blanche Scott Ferguson, in 1975.¹
     From 1975, her married name became Piers.¹

     Stephen James Piers was born in 1979.¹ He is the son of Sir James Desmond Piers, 11th Bt. and Sandra Mae Dixon.²

     William Piers was the son of Richard Piers.² He died in 1602.¹
     He emigrated to Ireland arriving on 1566.¹ He was a soldier.¹ He was granted much land, including the Abbey of Tristernagh, County Westmeath.¹ In 1569 he was given a reward of 1000 marks for bringing in the head of the Irish chief Shane O’Neill.¹ He held the office of Governor of Carrickfergus.¹ He held the office of Seneschal of County Antrim.¹

     Richard Popham Spurway was born in 1890 at Newbury, Berkshire, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Edward Popham Spurway and Gertrude Mary Bagnall.¹ He died on 13 August 1915, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     George Vyvyan Spurway was born in 1893 at Hursley, Hampshire, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Edward Popham Spurway and Gertrude Mary Bagnall.¹ He died on 28 March 1918, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 56th Battalion, Marchine Gun Corps.¹

     Michael Vyvyan Spurway was born in 1909 at Heathfield, Somerset, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Edward Popham Spurway and Gertrude Mary Bagnall.¹ He died on 7 July 2007 at Somerset, England.^1,2
     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)²

     Sir William Piers was the son of Henry Piers and Jane Jones.² He married Martha Ware, daughter of Sir James Ware and Mary Bryden.³ He died in 1638.¹ He died in 1638.³
