     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in Italy and Austria.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He was educated at King’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal between 1983 and 1992.¹

     Sir George Osborn, 4th Bt. was born on 10 May 1742 at Chicksand, Bedfordshire, England.³ He was the son of Sir Danvers Osborn, 3rd Bt. and Lady Mary Montagu.⁴ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Bannister, daughter of John Bannister and Elizabeth (?), on 6 April 1771.^1,3 He married, secondly, Lady Heneage Finch, daughter of Daniel Finch, 8th Earl of Winchilsea and Mary Palmer, on 22 August 1788.¹ He died on 29 June 1818 at age 76 at Chicksand, Bedfordshire, England.^1,3
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Osborne, of Chicksands Priory, co. Bedford [E., 1662] on 27 December 1753.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 16th Light Dragoons.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 18th or Royal Irish Foot.¹ He was commander of the Guards, North America.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1768 and 1784.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in the Scots Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 3rd Foot Guards.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 40th/2nd Somerset Foot.¹ He held the office of Groom of the Bedchamber to King George III.¹

     Elizabeth Bannister was born on 27 July 1746 at St. John, Antigua.² She was the daughter of John Bannister and Elizabeth (?)² She married Sir George Osborn, 4th Bt., son of Sir Danvers Osborn, 3rd Bt. and Lady Mary Montagu, on 6 April 1771.^1,2 She died on 16 March 1773 at age 26 at Campton, Bedfordshire, England.² She was buried on 16 March 1773.¹
     From 6 April 1771, her married name became Osborn.

     Sir John Osborn, 5th Bt. was born on 3 December 1772.¹ He was the son of Sir George Osborn, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Bannister.² He married Augusta Frederica Louisa Valentina Davers, daughter of Sir Charles Davers, 6th Bt., on 14 September 1809 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.^1,3 He died on 28 August 1848 at age 75 at Bayswater, London, England.^2,3
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1794 and 1807.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Doctor of Civil Law.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cockermouth between 1807 and 1808.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Bedfordshire Militia.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Queensborough between 1812 and 1818.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bedfordshire between 1818 and 1820.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Osborne, of Chicksands Priory, co. Bedford [E., 1662] on 29 June 1818.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigtown Burghs between 1821 and 1824.¹ He held the office of Lord Commissioner of the Admiralty.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Tower Hamlets.¹

     Augusta Frederica Louisa Valentina Davers was born illegitimately on 14 February 1791 at Rushbrooke, Suffolk, England.² She was the daughter of Sir Charles Davers, 6th Bt.³ She married Sir John Osborn, 5th Bt., son of Sir George Osborn, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Bannister, on 14 September 1809 at St. James, Westminster, London, England.^1,2 She died on 23 July 1870 at age 79 at Campton House, Campton, Bedfordshire, England.^1,2
     From 14 September 1809, her married name became Osborn.

     Thomas Lea was born in 1771.¹ He was the son of Francis Lea and Hannah (?)¹

     Charles Davers Osborn was born on 17 April 1819.¹ He was the son of Sir John Osborn, 5th Bt. and Augusta Frederica Louisa Valentina Davers.² He was baptised on 15 May 1819 at St. Martin in the Fields, Westminster, London, England.³ He married Louisa Atherley, daughter of Reverend A. Atherley, on 2 January 1845.¹ He died on 8 December 1846 at age 27 at St. Thomas, Exeter, Devon, England, a son.^1,3
