     Sir Timothy O’Brien, 1st Bt. was born in 1787.1 He was the son of Timothy O’Brien and unknown Madden.2 He married Catherine Murphy, daughter of Edward Murphy, in August 1821.1 He died on 3 December 1862, with a daughter (d unm):.1
     He was a merchant at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1844.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cashel between 1846 and 1859.1 He held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin in 1849.1 He was created 1st Baronet O’Brien, of Merrion Square, Dublin and Borris-in-Ossory, Queen’s County [U.K.] on 25 September 1849, on the occasion of HM Queen Victoria’s first visit to Ireland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     Sir Patrick O’Brien, 2nd Bt. was born in 1823.1 He was the son of Sir Timothy O’Brien, 1st Bt. and Catherine Murphy.2 He married Ida Sophia Parlby, daughter of Commander James Parlby, on 29 August 1866.1 He died on 25 April 1895, without issue.1
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising barrister.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for King’s County between 1852 and 1885.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet O’Brien, of Merrion Square, Dublin and Borris-in-Ossory, Queen’s County [U.K., 1849] on 3 December 1862.1
