     Captain Geoffrey Spencer Madan was born in 1895 at Headington, Oxfordshire, England.² He was the son of Falconer Madan and Frances Jane Hayter.^3,2 He married Marjorie Florence Noble, daughter of Sir Saxton William Armstrong Noble of Ardmore, 3rd Bt. and Celia Brunel James, on 20 November 1919.¹ He died on 6 July 1947.
     He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹

     Grizel Kirkpatrick was the daughter of Robert Kirkpatrick of Closeburn and Grizel Baillie.¹ She married John Grierson of Barjarg.¹

     From 28 January 1926, her married name became Noble. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northumberland in 1950.¹

     Sir Marc Brunel Noble of Ardmore, 5th Bt. was born on 8 January 1927.¹ He is the son of Sir Humphrey Brunel Noble of Ardmore, 4th Bt. and Celia Weigall.² He married Jennifer Lorna Jane Mein-Austin, daughter of John Mein-Austin, on 27 January 1956.¹ He died in 1991.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1947 in the King’s Dragoon Guards.¹ He retired from the military in 1966, with the rank of Major, late of the Royal Dragoons.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Noble, of Ardmore and Ardardan Noble, Cardross, co. Dunbarton [U.K., 1902] on 14 August 1968.¹

     Peter Saxton Fitzjames Noble was born on 22 May 1929.¹ He is the son of Sir Humphrey Brunel Noble of Ardmore, 4th Bt. and Celia Weigall.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Emmeline Eccles, daughter of Launcelot Williams Gregory Eccles, on 7 August 1954.¹ He and Elizabeth Emmeline Eccles were divorced in 1966.¹ He married, secondly, Helena Margaret Rose-Richards, daughter of Thomas Essery Rose-Richards, on 18 June 1966.¹ He married, thirdly, Penelope Margaret Landeau, daughter of Leslie Landeau, in 1980.¹ He and Helena Margaret Rose-Richards were divorced in 1980.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1977.¹ He lived in 2003 at Flax Cottage, Ham Common, Surrey, England.¹

     Launcelot Williams Gregory Eccles was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)¹ He lived at Harare, Zimbabwe.¹

     Elizabeth Emmeline Eccles is the daughter of Launcelot Williams Gregory Eccles.² She married Peter Saxton Fitzjames Noble, son of Sir Humphrey Brunel Noble of Ardmore, 4th Bt. and Celia Weigall, on 7 August 1954.¹ She and Peter Saxton Fitzjames Noble were divorced in 1966.¹
     From 7 August 1954, her married name became Noble.
