     Catherine Thurtle Dent was born in 1818.² She married Henry Lewis Layard, son of Charles Edward Layard and Barbara Bridgetina Mooyaart, on 31 December 1835 at Holy Trinity, Chelsea, London, England.¹ She died on 3 April 1869.¹
     From 31 December 1835, her married name became Layard.¹

     Charles Henry Layard was born circa 25 June 1838.¹ He was the son of Henry Lewis Layard and Catherine Thurtle Dent.¹ He died on 25 June 1883, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 25th (King’s Own Scottish Borderers) Regiment.¹ He was Assistant Commissary of Ceylon.¹

     Henry William Griffith Layard was born on 17 October 1839.¹ He was the son of Henry Lewis Layard and Catherine Thurtle Dent.¹ He married Edith Willisford, daughter of Francis William Willisford, on 7 August 1867.¹ He died on 24 July 1883 at age 43.¹
     He was a coffee planter at Sri Lanka.¹

     Edith Willisford is the daughter of Francis William Willisford.¹ She married Henry William Griffith Layard, son of Henry Lewis Layard and Catherine Thurtle Dent, on 7 August 1867.¹
     From 7 August 1867, her married name became Layard.¹

     Francis William Willisford graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹

     Frank Henry Layard was born on 18 April 1872.¹ He was the son of Henry William Griffith Layard and Edith Willisford.¹ He married Annie Davenport Moore on 27 February 1896.¹
     He was a tea planter at Sri Lanka.¹

     He was a coffee planter at Sri Lanka.¹

     Mary Kathleen (?) married, firstly, Brooke Bailey before 1908.¹ She married, secondly, Alfred Hector Layard, son of Henry William Griffith Layard and Edith Willisford, on 24 March 1908 at St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.¹
     From before 1908, her married name became Bailey.¹ From 24 March 1908, her married name became Layard.¹

     Brooke Bailey married Mary Kathleen (?) before 1908.¹ He died before 1908.¹
