     He held the office of Canon of Mombasa.³ He held the office of Canon of Salisbury.³

     Sir William Hedges was born on 21 October 1632 at Coole, County Cork, Ireland.² He was the son of Robert Hedges and Catharine Wakeman.² He married, firstly, Susanna Vanacker, daughter of Nicholas Vanacker.² He married, secondly, Anne Nicoll, daughter of Paul Nicoll, on 21 July 1687.² He died on 5 August 1701 at age 68 at London, England.²
