Sir Thomas Frankland, 6th Bt.1 
He graduated from Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk between 1774 and 1780.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Frankland, of Thirkleby [E., 1660] on 21 November 1784.1 He was a scientist and botanist.1 He was he built a mansion at Thirkleby in 1788.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1792.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk between 1796 and 1801.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1
