George Augustus Frederick John Fane, Lord Burghersh was born on 18 June 1819.1 He was the son of General John Fane, 11th Earl of Westmorland and Lady Priscilla Anne Wellesley-Pole.1 He died on 29 April 1848 at age 28.1
He was styled as Lord Burghersh between 1841 and 1848.1

Sir Robert Frankland-Russell, 7th Bt.1 
He was given the name of Robert Frankland at birth.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk between 1815 and 1834.2 He inherited from the Russell family Chequers Court, Buckinghamshire.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Russell, of Thirkleby [E., 1660] on 4 January 1831.2 In 1837 his name was legally changed to Robert Frankland-Russell by Royal Licence.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Yorkshire in 1838.2
