     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a Verderer of Epping Forest in 1962.¹ He lived in 2003 at Coffyns, Spreyton, Crediton, Devon, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Edward North Buxton was born on 7 February 1894.¹ He was the son of Gerald Buxton and Lucy Ethel Pease.² He married, firstly, Hon. Sibyl O’Neill, daughter of Captain Hon. Arthur Edward Bruce O’Neill and Lady Annabel Hungerford Crewe-Milnes, on 6 June 1924.¹ He married, secondly, Daphne Rosemary Munro, daughter of Henry Noel Munro, on 21 July 1951.¹ He died on 10 September 1957 at age 63.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was a Verderer of Epping Forest.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Essex in 1934.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Artillery (TAR.)¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Hon. Sibyl O’Neill was born on 15 December 1902.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Hon. Arthur Edward Bruce O’Neill and Lady Annabel Hungerford Crewe-Milnes.^1,2 She married Lt.-Col. Edward North Buxton, son of Gerald Buxton and Lucy Ethel Pease, on 6 June 1924.² She died on 26 July 1946 at age 43.¹
     Her married name became Buxton. On 6 December 1929 she was granted the rank of a baron’s daughter.¹ She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)²

     Edward Spencer Watson was born on 24 May 1843.¹ He was the son of Hon. Richard Watson and Lavinia Jane Quin.¹ He married Mary Blanche Hall, daughter of George Hall and Mary Isabella Tibbits, on 28 September 1871.¹ He died on 28 January 1889 at age 45.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 10th Hussars.¹

     Daphne Rosemary Munro is the daughter of Henry Noel Munro.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Edward North Buxton, son of Gerald Buxton and Lucy Ethel Pease, on 21 July 1951.¹
     Her married name became Buxton.

     Henry Noel Munro lived at Rushall, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹

     Thomas Charles Anthony Cochrane, 3rd Baron Cochrane of Cults was born on 31 October 1922.² He was the son of Major Thomas George Frederick Cochrane, 2nd Baron Cochrane of Cults and Hon. Elin Douglas-Pennant.² He died in 1990, unmarried.²
     He was founder and trustee of Gardners’ Memorial Trust.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Cochrane of Cults, of Crawford Priory, co. Fife [U.K., 1919] on 8 December 1968.¹

     Ralph Henry Vere Cochrane, 4th Baron Cochrane of Cults was born on 20 September 1926.¹ He was the son of Major Thomas George Frederick Cochrane, 2nd Baron Cochrane of Cults and Hon. Elin Douglas-Pennant.² He married Janet Mary Watson Cheyne, daughter of William Hunter Watson Cheyne and Grizel Bayley, on 18 December 1956.² He died on 11 September 2017 at age 90 at Cults, Cupar, Fife, Scotland.³

     Janet Mary Watson Cheyne was born on 13 April 1931.¹ She is the daughter of William Hunter Watson Cheyne and Grizel Bayley.² She married Ralph Henry Vere Cochrane, 4th Baron Cochrane of Cults, son of Major Thomas George Frederick Cochrane, 2nd Baron Cochrane of Cults and Hon. Elin Douglas-Pennant, on 18 December 1956.¹
     Janet Mary Watson Cheyne usually went by her middle name of Mary.¹ From 18 December 1956, her married name became Cochrane. After her marriage, Janet Mary Watson Cheyne was styled as Baroness Cochrane of Cults in 1990. She lived in 2003 at Cults, Cupar, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     William Hunter Watson Cheyne was born on 26 June 1889.¹ He was the son of Sir William Watson Cheyne of Leagarth, 1st Bt. and Mary Emma Servanté.² He married Grizel Bayley, daughter of Isaac Fenton Bayley, on 15 December 1923.¹ He died on 19 April 1957 at age 67.¹
