     Sir Henry Savile was born on 30 November 1549.¹ He was the son of Henry Savile and Elizabeth Ramsden. He married Margaret Dacres, daughter of George Dacres.¹ He died on 19 February 1621/22 at age 72, without surviving male issue.¹
     He tutored Queen Elizabeth I in Greek.¹ He was the Warden at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was educated in 1568 at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was founder of the Savilian Chairs of Astronomy and Geometry Oxford.¹ He was Envoy to Low Countries.¹ He was the Provost in 1596 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1604.¹

     George Dacres lived at Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Margaret Dacres is the daughter of George Dacres. She married, secondly, Sir Henry Savile, son of Henry Savile and Elizabeth Ramsden.¹ She married, firstly, George Gerrard, son of Sir William Gerrard.¹
     Her married name became Gerrard.¹ Her married name became Savile.

     Elizabeth Savile is the daughter of Sir Henry Savile and Margaret Dacres.¹ She married Sir John Sedley, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Sedley, 1st Bt., in 1613.¹
     From 1613, her married name became Sedley.

     Sir John Sedley, 2nd Bt. is the son of Sir William Sedley, 1st Bt. He married Elizabeth Savile, daughter of Sir Henry Savile and Margaret Dacres, in 1613.¹
     He lived at Aylesford, Kent, England.¹ He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Sedley.¹

     Sir Henry Sedley, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir John Sedley, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Savile. He died in 1641, unmarried.¹
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Sedley.¹

     Sir William Sheffield married Mary Dent, daughter of John Dent, on 23 September 1634.¹
