     Lucy Basset was baptised on 9 February 1717 at Illogan, Cornwall, England.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Basset and Mary Pendarves.¹

     Andrew Brown Muir was born on 2 September 1830.¹ He was the son of James Muir and Elizabeth Brown.² He died on 3 June 1834 at age 3.¹

     Matthew Andrew Muir was born on 5 October 1812.¹ He was the son of John Muir and Margaret Gardiner.² He married Agnes Clark Bunten, daughter of James Bunten, in 1851.¹ He died in February 1880 at age 67.¹
     He lived at Ardenvior Row, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.¹

     James Bunten lived at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     Agnes Clark Bunten is the daughter of James Bunten.² She married Matthew Andrew Muir, son of John Muir and Margaret Gardiner, in 1851.¹
     From 1851, her married name became Muir.

     Alexander Kay lived at Cornhill, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Morrison Kay was the daughter of Alexander Kay.² She married Sir John Muir of Deanston, 1st Bt., son of James Muir and Elizabeth Brown, on 26 July 1860.¹ She died on 28 August 1929.¹
     From 26 July 1860, her married name became Muir.

     Sir Alexander Kay Muir, 2nd Bt. was born on 20 April 1868.¹ He was the son of Sir John Muir of Deanston, 1st Bt. and Margaret Morrison Kay.² He married, firstly, Grace Frances Newman, daughter of John Adam Richard Newman, on 25 July 1910.¹ He married, secondly, Nadejda Stanicoff, daughter of Dimitri Stanicoff, on 17 March 1924.¹ He died on 4 June 1951 at age 83, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Muir, of Deanston, co. Perth and Park Gardens, Glasgow [U.K., 1892] on 6 August 1903.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glasgow.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Waterford in 1919.¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹

     John Adam Richard Newman held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Newbury Manor, County Cork, Ireland.¹

     Grace Frances Newman was the daughter of John Adam Richard Newman.² She married, secondly, Sir Alexander Kay Muir, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Muir of Deanston, 1st Bt. and Margaret Morrison Kay, on 25 July 1910.¹ She married, firstly, Major Henry Charles Windsor Villiers-Stuart, son of Henry Windsor Villiers-Stuart and Mary Power, on 20 August 1895.¹ She died on 31 July 1920.¹
     From 20 August 1895, her married name became Villiers-Stuart. From 25 July 1910, her married name became Muir.
