She married Lt.-Col. John Mowbray Trotter, son of Archibald Trotter of Dreghorn and Louisa Jane Strange, on 27 October 1876.
     Her married name became Trotter.

     Lt.-Col. John Mowbray Trotter was born in 1841 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was the son of Archibald Trotter of Dreghorn and Louisa Jane Strange.2 He married Mary Catherine Elizabeth Abercromby, daughter of Ralph Abercromby, 2nd Baron Dunfermline and Lady Mary Elizabeth Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 27 October 1876.
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Bengal Staff Corps.1
