     Lionel Robert Ashburner was baptised on 14 January 1828 at Tasmania, AustraliaG.1 He was the son of William Page Ashburner and Hester Maria Elliot.1 He married Emily Caroline Haggard, daughter of Thomas Trenchard Haggard and Emily Frances Ewing Bosworth, on 14 June 1873 at Kirkee, Bombay, IndiaG.1 He died in 1907 at Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1
     He was Acting Governor of Bombay between 13 March 1880 and 28 April 1880.1 He was a practising in the Indian Civil Service.1 He lived in 1901 at 9a Gloucester Place, St. Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1

Lt.-Col. Augustus Maitland1

     Lt.-Col. Augustus Maitland was the son of Hon. Sir Alexander Maitland, 1st Bt. and Penelope Madan.2 He died on 31 October 1797, from wounds received in action in the Low Countries.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Guards.1 He fought in the French Revolutionary Wars.1

     General Frederick Maitland was born on 3 September 1763.1 He was the son of Hon. Sir Alexander Maitland, 1st Bt. and Penelope Madan.2 He married Catherine Prettyjohn, daughter of John Prettyjohn, in 1790.1 He died on 27 January 1848 at age 84.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 58th Regiment.1

John Madan Maitland1

     John Madan Maitland was born on 12 August 1793.1 He was the son of General Frederick Maitland and Catherine Prettyjohn.2 He married, firstly, Ellinor Annesley, daughter of Gilbert Annesley, on 24 October 1822.1 He married, secondly, Harriet Pratt, daughter of Reverend Joseph Pratt, on 21 July 1829.1 He died on 14 October 1842 at age 49.1
