     Lachlan ‘Lubanach’ Maclean, 2nd of Duart was born circa 1330.2 He was the son of John ‘Dubh’ Maclean, 1st of Duart and unknown daughter Comyn.3 He married Elizabeth Macdonald, daughter of Iain Macdonald, Lord of the Isles.1 He married Mary MacDonald, daughter of Iain Macdonald, Lord of the Isles and Margaret Stewart, circa 1366.4,2 He died circa 1405.1
     He was House Steward to the Lord of the Isles.1 In 1390 he had charters for Duart, Brolas, on Mull and other lands.1
