James Stewart, 5th High Steward of Scotland1 
He succeeded as the 5th High Steward of Scotland in 1283.1 He was a guardian on the death of King Alexander II in 1286.2 He was an auditor to represent Bruce in his claim for the Crown of Scotland in 1292.2 He fought in the Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, with Sir William Wallace.2
