     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Mackworth [E., 1619] in August 1640.¹ In March 1647/48 he was fined as a royalist.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Rutland from 1666 to 1667.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rutland between 1679 and 1694.¹

     Mary Venables is the daughter of Thomas Venables.² She married Humphrey Mackworth, son of Richard Mackworth and Dorothy Cranage, circa 12 July 1638.¹
     She was Baron of Kinderton, County Palatine of Chester [feudal].¹ From circa 12 July 1638, her married name became Mackworth.
