     Cecilia Mary Wythes was born on 27 March 1900. She was the daughter of Ernest James Wythes and Aline Thorold.² She married Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Alfred Edward Codrington and Adela Harriet Portal, on 24 May 1923.¹ She died in 1979.¹
     From 24 May 1923, her married name became Codrington.

     Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington was born on 13 May 1888.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Alfred Edward Codrington and Adela Harriet Portal.² He married Cecilia Mary Wythes, daughter of Ernest James Wythes and Aline Thorold, on 24 May 1923.¹ He died on 18 June 1973 at age 85.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1910 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches four times, and was wounded.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1916.¹ He was awarded the U.S. Bronze Medal.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1932.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1934 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1946, at HQ London District.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Territorial Army.¹ He was awarded the Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM King George VI.¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1948.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1951.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1953.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1955.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher to HM Queen Elizabeth II.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Alfred Edward Codrington was born on 4 May 1854.¹ He was the son of General Sir William John Codrington and Mary Ames.² He married Adela Harriet Portal, daughter of Melville Portal and Lady Charlotte Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 20 May 1885.² He died on 12 September 1945 at age 91.¹
     He fought in the Egyptian Campaign.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Rutland.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Rutland.¹ He was Commander of the London District between 1909 and 1913.¹ He was Military Secretary to the Secretary of State for War in 1914.¹ He was Commanding Officer of the 3rd Army, Home Defences between 1914 and 1916.¹ He was awarded the Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Redeemer of Greece.¹ He was awarded the Grand Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Coldstream Guards.¹

     Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington was born on 19 April 1926.¹ He is the son of Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington and Cecilia Mary Wythes.² He married, firstly, Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland, daughter of Colonel Mark Edward Makgill Crichton Maitland and Patience Irene Fleetwood Fuller, on 12 December 1953.¹ He and Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland were divorced in 1986.¹ He married, secondly, Alma Patricia Sheridan, daughter of Patrick Sheridan, in 1986.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 16th/5th Lancers.¹

     Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland was born on 21 April 1927.² She was the daughter of Colonel Mark Edward Makgill Crichton Maitland and Patience Irene Fleetwood Fuller.^2,3 She married Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington, son of Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington and Cecilia Mary Wythes, on 12 December 1953.¹ She and Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington were divorced in 1986.¹ She died in 1994.¹
     Her married name became Codrington.

     Camilla Ann Codrington was born on 10 February 1957.¹ She is the daughter of Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington and Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland.²

     Bridget Margaret Codrington was born on 7 November 1958.¹ She is the daughter of Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington and Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland.² She married, firstly, George Daniel Rossiter in 1979.¹ She married, secondly, Ross O’Neill Witherow, son of Cecil John Witherow, in 1990.¹
     From 1979, her married name became Rossiter. From 1990, her married name became Witherow.¹ She lived in 2003 at September Cottage, Aughton, Collingbourne Kingston, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Katherine Alice Codrington was born on 22 October 1965.¹ She is the daughter of Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington and Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland.²

     James Geoffrey Codrington was born on 1 September 1935.¹ He was the son of Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington and Cecilia Mary Wythes.² He married Clare Lorraine Wells, daughter of Richard Guy Arthur Wells, on 2 September 1961.¹ He died on 6 December 2018 at age 83.³
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Lyde Barn, Lower Lyde, Herefordshire, England^G.¹

     Clare Lorraine Wells is the daughter of Richard Guy Arthur Wells.² She married James Geoffrey Codrington, son of Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington and Cecilia Mary Wythes, on 2 September 1961.¹
     Clare Lorraine Wells usually went by her middle name of Lorraine.¹ From 2 September 1961, her married name became Codrington.
