     Major Sir John George Thorold, 13th Bt. was born on 2 October 1870.¹ He was the son of Sir John Henry Thorold, 12th Bt. and Hon. Alexandrina Henrietta Matilda Willoughby.¹ He died on 25 December 1951 at age 81, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England, Eton.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was HQ Recruiting Officer for Lincoln during First World War.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.¹ He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [E., 1642] on 4 October 1922.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lincolnshire between 1926 and 1951.¹

     Captain Henry Cecil Thorold was born on 17 November 1871.¹ He was the son of Sir John Henry Thorold, 12th Bt. and Hon. Alexandrina Henrietta Matilda Willoughby.¹ He died on 18 February 1902 at age 30 at Bootha’s Kraal, South Africa^G, killed in action.
     He was Captain 2nd Battalion Leics Regiment Boer War.¹ He fought in the Boer War.

     Sir James Ernest Thorold, 14th Bt. was born on 27 January 1877.¹ He was the son of Sir John Henry Thorold, 12th Bt. and Hon. Alexandrina Henrietta Matilda Willoughby.¹ He married Katharine Tindal-Atkinson, daughter of Reverend William Rolfe Tindal-Atkinson, on 16 December 1902.¹ He died on 27 July 1965 at age 88.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [E., 1642] on 25 December 1951.¹

     Aline Thorold was the daughter of Sir John Henry Thorold, 12th Bt. and Hon. Alexandrina Henrietta Matilda Willoughby.¹ She married Ernest James Wythes, son of George Edward Wythes, on 8 August 1894.¹ She died on 27 October 1951.¹
     Her married name became Wythes. She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.¹

     Ernest James Wythes was the son of George Edward Wythes.² He married Aline Thorold, daughter of Sir John Henry Thorold, 12th Bt. and Hon. Alexandrina Henrietta Matilda Willoughby, on 8 August 1894.³ He died on 13 December 1949.³
     He lived at The Wood House, Epping, Essex, England^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Bickley Hall, Kent, England^G.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹ He lived at Copped Hall, Essex, England^G.¹

     Katharine Tindal-Atkinson is the daughter of Reverend William Rolfe Tindal-Atkinson. She married Sir James Ernest Thorold, 14th Bt., son of Sir John Henry Thorold, 12th Bt. and Hon. Alexandrina Henrietta Matilda Willoughby, on 16 December 1902.¹ She died on 23 June 1959.¹
     Her married name became Thorold.
