     Matilda Harewell was the daughter of John Harewell.¹ She married John Leighton, son of Sir Thomas Leighton and Elizabeth Devereux.¹ She died, without issue.¹

     Sir Edward Leighton was the son of John Leighton and Joyce Sutton.² He married Anne Darrell, daughter of Paul Darrell.¹ He died in 1593.¹

     Thomas Leighton was the son of Sir Edward Leighton and Anne Darrell.² He married Elizabeth Gerrard, daughter of Sir William Gerrard.¹ He died in 1600.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Shropshire trained bands.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Shropshire in 1597.¹

     Robert Leighton was the son of Thomas Leighton and Elizabeth Gerrard.² He married Anne Devereux, daughter of Sir Edward Devereux, 1st Bt. and Catherine Arden.² He died in 1625.¹
