     He was successively Minister of Evie in Orkney, Tealing, Forfar and Clackmannan.¹

     John Blair lived at Perth, Perthshire, Scotland.¹

     Jane Ramsay Blair was the daughter of John Blair.² She married Reverend Peter Balfour, son of Reverend James Balfour and Christian Foggo, on 22 January 1833.¹ She died on 14 January 1871.¹
     From 22 January 1833, her married name became Balfour.

     James Balfour was born on 30 December 1834.¹ He was the son of Reverend Peter Balfour and Jane Ramsay Blair.² He died on 23 January 1902 at age 67, unmarried.¹

     Alice Gray Elmslie was born circa 1837 at London, England^G.¹ She married Christopher Dove Barker in 1854 at Totnes, Devon, England^G.¹ She died in 1918 at Upton-upon-Severn, Worcestershire, England^G.¹

     Margaret Christina Balfour was born on 9 June 1840.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend Peter Balfour and Jane Ramsay Blair.² She married William James Haig on 28 April 1863.¹
     From 28 April 1863, her married name became Haig.
