He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He fought in the First World War, in Mesopotamia, where he was mentioned in desptaches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Queen’s Royal Regiment (Territorial Army.)1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Jardine, of Godalming, co. Surrey [U.K., 1916] on 26 April 1919.1
