     Alexander Irvine, 14th of Drum was born circa 1695.1 He was the son of Alexander Irvine, 13th of Drum and Jean Irvine.2 He died in 1735, incapable of managing his affairs.1
     In 1715 he was a Jacobite, then fled to France.1 In 1718 he was allowed by King George I to return to Scotland , but fell into still greater debts.1

John Irvine, 15th of Drum1

     John Irvine, 15th of Drum was the son of Alexander Irvine of Murthill and Agnes Gray.2,3 He married Catherine Fullarton, daughter of Robert Fullarton of Dudwick.1 He died in 1737, without issue, when the male line of Irvine of Murthill, which had intruded into the succession, became extinct.1
     In 1721 a merchant in Carolina and Jamaica.1 Circa 1722 he returned to Scotland.1 In 1735 on his succession, the estates were seized by creditors, but the Castle of Drum and immediate lands were returned to him and his heirs.1

     Alexander Irvine, 17th of Drum was the son of Alexander Irvine, 4th of Artamford and 16th of Drum and Isabel Thomson.2 He married Mary Ogilvie, daughter of James Ogilvie, 2nd of Auchiries and Margaret Strachan, in 1751.1 He died in 1761.1
     In 1745 he was Jacobite, but acquitted twice of treason.1
